REAL FOOD. REAL PLACES. REAL PEOPLE.
Our 4-hour Eating Amsterdam Food Tour is so much more than meets the eye: it’s a guided walk through the unique cultural and historical sights of the Jordaan neighborhood; it’s an hour-long, private boat trip through Amsterdam’s world heritage canals; and it’s a substantial meal in the form of 12 delicious Dutch tastings from 7 authentic foodie stops along the way – all in one!
Once a working-class neighborhood, the Jordaan is now a sought-after area full of specialty shops and amazing restaurants. You’ll visit our favorite local haunts, meet the families keeping Dutch food traditions alive, and explore historical sites that few tourists have an opportunity to experience. Along the way, you’ll be entertained with stories and insights into Amsterdam’s culture and history from our experienced local guides.
Take a break from being a tourist and discover the real Amsterdam with us!

FOOD HEROES YOU’LL MEET ALONG THE WAY

“Taste is everything! Food is a passion of mine, and one of the most important things in the world. In a specialist cheese shop like this, you have the opportunity to make direct contact with customers and let them taste the products. "Learn More
Het Oud-Hollandsch Snoepwinkeltje
“I opened the candy shop because I really like Dutch old-fashioned shops; they have so much more atmosphere than the big chain stores. I wish all my customers ‘veel snoep plezier,’ as we say in Dutch – have lots of candy fun!"Learn More
Meer dan Vis
“Never compromise on freshness and quality! We have customers of all ages – from children to grandparents – who come back again and again for the quality of our herring…”Learn More
“You can taste the craftsmanship, and if it’s up to us you’ll carry on tasting it – in any case, at least for the next 100 years!”Learn More
“Some of our customers have moved to another area of Amsterdam or even another city altogether, and they still come back to order from us. We take that as a huge compliment!”Learn More
“Papeneiland is one of the oldest cafes in Amsterdam – a really historic spot. Bill Clinton famously once came here for a cappuccino and a slice of apple pie – he ended up taking a whole pie away with him!”Learn More
